press release follows:

Creepshow Productions are proud to announce the signing of NZ’s premier darkwave band The Mercy Cage. The Mercy Cage have been the stalwarts of NZ’s dark underground scene for the last 8 years and with 2001’s Rust: A Fiction (Mediatrix) and 2005's Scree: Transmissions (DSBP) both released to general critical acclaim both within NZ and abroad, Creepshow relishes the opportunity to work with The Mercy Cage in delivering the next long awaited album in 2009.

With a genuine focus on home, expect to see The Mercy Cage more in the live scene and playing some new rocking tracks as the new album comes to life.

Creepshow will also be working with The Mercy Cage's previous North-American label DSBP and keeping the NZ connection strong overseas. Josh Wood will still be playing an integral part in New Mexico band Diverje as well.

In the meantime, check out the latest track from The Mercy Cage called “The Jewellery Thief” on the Something Wicked This Way Comes compilation and keep an ear/eye out. There will be some suprises along the way...

With the new Crash Frequency website in place and now the new forums, we've setup RSS newsfeeds to help keep everyone up to date and I just wanted to post some links to make getting started easier for everyone..

For those of you not already using an RSS newsreader or "Aggregator", you can easily download and install a dedicated piece of software which will be a central place for all of your newsfeeds

Take a look at:
OR

Once you've setup your reader, just subscribe to our RSS feeds below... (You should be able to just click on these once the software is installed and it will all magically happen for you)

There have been discussions within the group regarding a new compilation from Crash Frequency and we are interested in what the listeners want to hear on this new release.

Do you want Club mixes? Album tracks? Special unreleased tracks and experimental remixes?

For all of you who bought CF02, which disc was your favourite? Disc One: Home or Disc Two: Club?

Got any favourite tracks from the CF bands that you'd love to hear remixed for the new compilation?

We want to hear from you!

Back in July, we had a chance to catch up with Ryby of Alien-E-Zine for an interview by email. Aliens are an independent audio production label and online zine out of the small European country of Slovakia.

To read our interview, click here: http://www.aliens.sk then choose your language. Go to Interviews from the right side menu bar then click Empty in the main area and the interview will pop up in a new window.
